🎈U.S. Inflation Surprise Index Falls to Lowest In 9 Months: Cable FX Macro

  • Our own measure of U.S. inflation surprises has fallen to the lowest since October, the index is now sitting at -36.6 down from the prior -14.8

  • A decline in May was led by Y/y core and headline measures missing estimates by a 10th of a percent. U.S. headline prices rose 3.3%, slower than the prior 3.4%
