📊 Inflation Targets Vs Actual: U.K. Stands+7.0% Above BoE's Price Target

Writer: Rosbel DuránRosbel Durán
  • Last week, we got April inflation prints from developed markets out of the way. As of the last read, U.S. headline inflation at 8.3% Y/Y leads the G10, however, the U.K. and the Euro Area overshoot their 2.0% price target the most (7.0% and 5.4%, respectively). Japan and Switzerland both stand only 0.5% above their central bank's targets, this is a shift from below target prints seen in previous months. They still lag the G10 massively.

Investing and trading involve risk. This includes the possible loss of principal and fluctuations in value. There is no assurance that objectives will be met. Do not risk capital that you cannot afford to lose.
